Thank you for your interest in the Vulture Mine.   Guided tours for the 2017-18 season are every Saturday and Sunday at 10:00am (gates open at 9:30am and close at 10:00am).  Our last guided tour of the season will be Sunday May 6th.  Unguided, but supervised, tours for the 2017-18 season will be weekdays from 9:00am to 3:00pm and weekends from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  Unguided tours will continue until further notice pending weather conditions. 

Reservations not needed unless you have a group of 15 or more, please email us for group scheduling.

Vulture Mine Tour Information:

Please join us for a two-hour guided tour of the historic Vulture Mine located in the beautiful Sonoran Desert, 12 miles outside of Wickenburg, Arizona. This 1/2 mile dirt path walking tour offers an exploration of remaining buildings and artifacts which once belonged to the booming mining town.

From the intersection of US 60 (Wickenburg Way) and Vulture Mine Road in the town of Wickenburg, turn South onto Vulture Mine Road (near the Safeway Shopping Center) and travel 12 miles to the mine entrance on the North (right) side of the Vulture Mine Road. The entrance is ½ mile after mile marker 15. A map can be found here.

During the ½ mile dirt path walking tour, you will experience:

·         Vulture’s Roost

·         Cookhouse

·         Henry Wickenburg’s Cabin and the infamous Hanging Tree

·         The Assay Lab and various surrounding buildings and many mining artifacts

Please note: an adult must accompany any child under the age of 18. In addition. If the adult accompanying the child is not a parent or legal guardian, the Parental Consent Guardianship Form (available here) must be signed by a parent or legal guardian. This form must be presented at the time of the tour, and the acting legal guardian must have ID that matches the name on the form.

Wheelchair accessible portable restroom available.
